Putnam County Schools have launched the Industry 4.0 Diploma Distinction program, empowering students to become career-ready by the time they graduate. Available to students beginning in the 10th grade, the program requires monthly career coaching during their junior and senior years and the completion of nine credits in work-based learning and dual enrollment. Jackie Vester, CTE Supervisor for Putnam County Schools, shared that the class of 2024 will be the first to graduate with this distinction, giving students a significant advantage in Tennessee’s competitive job market.
Earning the Industry 4.0 Diploma Distinction is no easy feat. Students must demonstrate commitment and mastery in both academic and work-based learning environments, a combination that sets them apart for future employers.
